Cornfeld-Levy Engagement

Sari Cornfeld and Daniel Levy

Sari Cornfeld, daughter of Marcy and Rick Cornfeld of Creve Coeur, and Daniel Levy, son of Marjie and Dr. Robert Levy of Creve Coeur, have announced their engagement.

Sari is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Marlin and Goldie Jackoway and Dave and the late Martha Cornfeld, all of St. Louis.  Daniel is the grandson of the late Evelyn and Willard Orenstein and Connie and the late Monroe Levy, also all of St. Louis.

Sari graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., where she majored in religion. She is Director of the Religious School at Temple Israel in Creve Coeur.

Daniel graduated from Parkway North High School and Washington University, where he majored in political science and was a member of the tennis team that won the 2008-09 National Championship.  He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and is an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Division of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in St. Louis.

Their families have been close friends for over 30 years. Sari and Daniel met each other when their older sisters began a lifelong friendship at Temple Israel Preschool.

The couple reconnected in the summer of 2016 at the wedding of Sari’s cousin in Chicago, where Sari was living at the time, and again in St. Louis, where Sari returned during the High Holiday season, ostensibly to see an Israeli cousin, but mainly for her first date with Daniel.

An August 2018 wedding is planned.
