Valerie Lynn Cohen, daughter of Larry and Becky Cohen of Manchester, and Mark Aaron Rose, son of Sherrie Weiss of Riverwoods, Ill. were married January 5, 2013 at the Doubletree Hotel in Chesterfield, where Rabbi Justin Kerber officiated. A wedding reception followed

She is the granddaughter of the late Melvin and Helen Sokol of Kansas City, Mo. and the late Samuel and Margaret Cohen of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Zangwill and Carole Munies of Glencoe, Ill. and the late Beverly Munies of Chicago.

The bride chose her best friend, Leslie Wang, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Rose, sister of the groom, Courtney Cohen, sister-in-law of the bride and Bari Chesin, cousin of the groom. Chelsea Weiss, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.

The groom chose his cousin, Bryan Chesin, as best man. Groomsmen were Greg Cohen, brother of the bride, Michael Tufano and Farnia Ghavami, both friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Napayshni Labombard, nephew of the groom.

The couple is planning a Mediterranean cruise in the fall and they reside in Chicago.
