Weinsteins celebrate 60 years

Edward and Mary (Lite) Weinstein celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently. The were married on Oct. 7, 1945, at the Congress Hotel by Rabbi Julius Gordon. They have two daughters, Linda Weinstein and Nanci (David) Rosch, and one grandson, Michael (Michelle) Rosch.

Polsky-Elson

Julie Rebecca Polsky, daughter of Phillip and Ellyn Polsky of St. Louis, and Philip Harold Elson, son of Dr. Howard and Robin Elson of Pittsburgh, were married Nov. 6 at St. Louis Downtown Pavilion Hotel. Rabbi Eric Cytryn officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the St. Louis Downtown Pavilion Hotel. She is the granddaughter of Jeanette and the late Dr. Gilbert Rubin and Hilda and the late Sam Polsky. He is the grandson of Lillian and the late Hyman Sosis and the late Gloria and Harold Elson.

The bride chose Lauren Elson, sister of the groom as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Brodof, Molly Davies, Jennifer Hoffman-Mentle, Keren Sachs, Erica Schwartz and Jonathan Swaden.

The groom chose Jack Weiner as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Polsky and Joshua Polsky, brothers of the bride; and Dan Bartholomae, Sam Kantrowitz, Moe Lederman and Carly Peterson.

Following a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides in Little Rock, Ark.

Reif-Krieger

Melissa Reif, daughter of Helene Reif and Fred Reif, both of Chesterfield, and Tim Krieger, son of Patty and David Krieger of Crestwood, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Lillian and Joseph Landers and Corinne and the late Irwin Reif.

He is the grandson of Gerri and Lewis Johnson and the late Betty and Charles Krieger.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and St. Louis University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in finance and the University of Missouri at St. Louis, where she earned a master of arts degree in English.

She is currently an English instructor at St. Louis Community College.

Her fiance is a graduate of Desmet Jesuit High School and the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he earned degrees in computer and electrical engineering, and St. Louis University, where he earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics, and Washington University, where he earned a juris doctorate.

He is currently practicing intellectual property law at Thompson Coburn.

A May 2006 wedding is planned.
