Celebrations of life

Jennifer Carolyn Tucker, daughter of Mark and Jane Tucker of St. Louis, and Zachary Asher Abeles, son of Ron and Bette Abeles of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Ann and Lee Richards of St. Louis and Lorraine Tucker and the late Sam Tucker of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Frank and Ilse Altman of St. Louis and Margaret Abeles and the late Alfred Abeles of Amherst, Mass.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Drake University, where she earned a B.A. degree in radio/TV production. She is currently a television producer for Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis. Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a B.A. degree with distinction in political science, and the St. Louis University School of Law, where he earned a J.D. degree. He is currently an attorney with Polsinelli, Shalton, Welte, Svelthaus PC in its St. Louis office.
A November 2006 wedding is planned.
Gilula-Tanay
Tanya Gilula, daughter of Dr. Louis and Debbie Gilula of St. Louis, and Oren Tanay, son of Dr. Valerie Akuna of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mr. Yoram Tanay of Washington, D.C., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Adolph and the late Dora Gilula of West Frankfort, Ill., and the late Louis and the late Ethel Schline of Richmond, Va.
He is the grandson of the late Yoel and the late Shosana Tunes of Ramat-Gan, Israel, and Mrs. Vera Oldfield of the United Kingdom.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ladue High School and the American University, where she earned a B.A. degree in graphic design. She is currently working for Walker-Macy, a landscape architecture and urban design firm in Portland, Ore. Her fiance is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C., and the Art Institute International, where he earned an associate degree in 3D animation. He is currently the owner of Lycapixel, an online marketing and development company. A July wedding is planned.
Hall-Kantrovitz
Brenna Marie Hall, daughter of Ellen and Stanley Hall of Corvallis, Ore., and Daniel Nathan Kantrovitz, son of Barbara and David Kantrovitz of Ladue, were married Aug. 6, 2005, at Temple Israel, where Rabbi Mark Shook officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Westwood Country Club. She is the granddaughter of Teddy and the late William O’Malley of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Frances and the late Oliver Hall of Oregon.
He is the grandson of Charlotte and the late Saul Brodsky and the late Jane Herr and the late Nathan Kantrovitz.
The bride chose Laurel Hansen, her sister, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbey Guy, sister of the groom; Melissa Kantrovitz, sister-in-law of the groom; Helen Palmen, Dutch host and sister of the bride; Lucy Schwallie, and Rachel Lorenz.
The groom chose David Kantrovitz, his father, as best man. Groomsmen were David Kantrovitz, Jr. and Andrew Kantrovitz, brothers of the groom; and Scott Hansen and Glenn Guy, brothers-in-law of the groom; and Jeffrey Brodsky, uncle of the groom.
Ushers were Jeffrey Ganz, Clayton McDonnell, Daron Greene, Robert Holley, Anish Parikh, and Matt Thomson.
Following a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple resides in St. Louis.
