Steffeni Paige Bunsick and Derek Kyle Veren were married July 28, 2018 at The Hotel Allegro in Chicago. Rabbi Howard Kaplansky of United Hebrew Congregation officiated.

Steffeni is the daughter of Stan and Denise Bunsick of Chesterfield and the granddaughter of Radyne and the late Leonard Cohn, and Elsie and the late Lawrence Bunsick, all of Overland Park, Kan.

Derek is the son of Rick and Cindy Veren of Lake Zurich, Ill., and the grandson of Blossom and the late Harry Veren, and the late Edward and Doris Sakoff, all of Chicago. 

The bride’s sister, Robyn Bricker, served as Matron of Honor. Serving as bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Alex Headland, Kirsten Plomin and Cassie Ringer, as well as the bride’s sister-in-law, Mara Bunsick, and the groom’s sister, Jenna Veren. 

The groom’s brother, Sam Veren, served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were the groom’s friends Mike Conway, Matt Biava and Max Esparza, as well as the bride’s brother, Brett Bunsick, and the bride’s brother-in-law, Chad Bricker. 

After a honeymoon in Sri Lanka, the couple resides in Chicago.
