Rachel Beth Bernstein, daughter of Lee and Lise Bernstein and Sam Kallison, son of the late David and late Diane Kallison, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Charles and Elaine Fremder and Sam and the late Ruth Bernstein.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway North High School; she earned her bachelor of journalism degree from Northwestern University. She is an editor with Prime Publishing in Northbrook, Ill.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Niles North High School in Skokie, Ill. and earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Illinois State University in Normal. He is a sales consultant with Wirtz Beverage in Chicago.

A September, 2013 wedding is planned in St. Louis.
