Sarah Jane Barbarash and Dr. Eric Nicholas Wittrock have announced their engagement. 

Sarah is the daughter of Dr. Rick A. Barbarash of St. Louis, and Janet and Steve Barco of Kearney, Mo. She is the granddaughter of the late Jack and the late Idel Barbarash of St. Louis, and Frank and Lillian Kolkin of Prairie Village, Kan. 

Eric is the son of Nicholas and Donna Wittrock of Carroll, Iowa. He is the grandson of Laverne and the late Walter Wittrock of Halbur, Iowa, and the late Ervil and the late Helen Tiefenthaler of Breda, Iowa.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School, a 2006 graduate of St. Louis University and a 2009 graduate of Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. Sarah is currently a family law attorney at Raza & Jones, LLC.

The groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Kuemper High School, a 2007 graduate of Truman State University and a 2011 graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently an instructor in child and adolescent psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine.

Eric proposed to Sarah with a beautiful antique engagement ring while they were celebrating her birthday over dinner at Bar Les Freres.

An October, 2016 wedding is planned.
