Sarah Rachel Barasch, of St. Louis and Angela “Graie” Hagans of St. Louis are pleased to announce their engagement. Barasch is the daughter of Jane Tarlow and Leonard Barasch of St. Louis and granddaughter of Reita Barasch of St. Louis and the late Jerome Barasch of Birmingham, Ala. and the late William and Pearlie Folks of Mobile, Ala.

Hagans is the daughter of Kenneth Hagans and Gwen Parks of St. Louis and granddaughter of Elijah Hagans and the late Emma Hagans of Hammond, La. and Audrey Martin Wright and the late Cecil Wright of St. Louis.

Barasch is a 2006 graduate of Parkway North High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2010 at Beloit College in English literature, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She works as a member of the AirCrew, the unique remote customer support team for San Francisco-based travel website Airbnb.

Hagans is a 2005 graduate of Beaumont High School and a 2009 graduate of Webster University. She teaches eighth-grade history at Mary Institute Country Day School. The couple met at a dinner party given by their mutual friend, Morgan Keenan, who is now serving as Barasch’s best man. Hagans wrote the proposal on the inside cover of a book and presented it as a gift to Barasch.

A June, 2012 wedding at Central Reform Congregation is planned.
