Dr. Barry and Stephanie (Lieberman) Yusman of Ballwin are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 24.

Stephanie, a retired middle school art teacher, and Barry, a retired dentist, have two children, Lisa (Yusman) Cornell of Ballwin and Scott Yusman of Leesburg, Va. They have two granddaughters, Katerina and Eliana Cornell.

The couple met while attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. Stephanie (originally from Evansville, Ind.) was a freshman pledge of AEPhi and Barry (a University City native) was a sophomore AEPi. After graduation, they moved to Kansas City, where Barry attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School and Stephanie began her teaching career. Stephanie and Barry moved to the St. Louis area in 1975 where they raised their two children. 

The Yusmans will celebrate their anniversary Aug. 24 in St. Louis with their family and are scheduled to take a Viking River Cruise through Europe this fall.
