Avery Tate Rudman, daughter of Derek and Cindy Rudman of Chesterfield will become a Bat Mitzvah June 15 at United Hebrew Congregation. Avery, a seventh grader at Crestview, is an A student who has received numerous academic awards. She enjoys dance and being with her friends and family. The past two summers, Avery has attended Camp Sabra.

For her mitzvah project, Avery is volunteering for the Senior Dog Project which cares for and fosters dogs who are age one or older. 

She has two brothers, Aidan, age 10 and Brody, age 7. Proud grandparents are Maureen Rudman of Chesterfield, Bob and Sandy Rudman of Creve Coeur, Dave and Patty Vietmeier of Chesterfield, and the late Kathy Vietmeier. Great-grandparents are the late Ann and the late Oscar Rudman, the late Sylvia and the late Samuel Cohen, the late Melvin Shapiro, the late Hyman and the late Ruth Silverberg, the late Arthur and the late Evelyn Vietmeier, and the late Bill and the late Audrey Kincaid, all of whom are from St. Louis.
