Eliana Lily Wax, daughter of Jessica and Jeffrey Wax of University City, will become a bat mitzvah Aug. 21, 2021 at Congregation B’nai Amoona.

Eliana is the granddaughter of Sanford and Wendy Wax of Chesterfield, and Stewart and Esther Stein of Leawood, Kan. She is the great-granddaughter of Tama Bushman of Chesterfield. Eliana has one brother, Gabriel Wax, who is 10.

A seventh-grade student at Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School, Eliana is an avid dancer, plays guitar, loves art, and enjoys spending time with her friends and extended family. For her bat mitzvah project, Elly became a Donate 2 Dance Ambassador, collecting shoes and costumes to donate to local dancers in need.
