Ella Rose Solarz was born Aug. 30, 2019 at the University of California-San Francisco, where her mother is a medical fellow.
Ella is the daughter of Jessica Rubin and Ben Solarz. She is the granddaughter of Ken and Jane Rubin of St. Louis, and Al and Julie Solarz of New York. Ella is the great-granddaughter of Shirley Tzinberg (Marvin Tzinberg, z”l) and Maurine Rubin (Mahlon Rubin, z”l).
Ella received her Hebrew name in a recent Havdalah ceremony at Congregation B’nai Amoona — the first baby naming in the new chapel — with Rabbi Carnie Rose and Cantor Sharon Nathanson officiating, and participation by Rabbi Elizabeth Hersh from Temple Emanuel.
