Young professionals to network with top St. Louis executive, philanthropist

Learn the secrets of making it to the corner office straight from one of the region’s leading real estate executives and philanthropists, Michael Staenberg, President of THF Realty. Staenberg will speak to an audience of more than 100 young professionals at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at the JCC Staenberg Family Complex Arts and Education Building in Creve Coeur.

The event brings together two diverse groups: The Ben Gurion Society, a membership-only group of individuals 25-45 who contribute a minimum gift of $1,000 to Jewish Federation; and The Regional Business Council’s Young Professionals Network “Leadership 100” group, 100 professionals of color 40 and under selected for their leadership and desire to impact the region in a positive way.

Regional Business Council members, Jewish Federation Chair Bob Millstone and board member Kenneth Kranzberg made the connection between the two groups and encouraged them to collaborate. Coming together allows the groups to mix and mingle, learning both from Staenberg and one another.

“It’s important to pass on knowledge to the next generation as they take the reins. I hope to help mentor young adults as they become leaders in the community,” said Staenberg.

Attendees will take in Staenberg’s business expertise while enjoying signature cocktails and kosher appetizers. They will then have the chance to participate in two roundtable discussion groups focused on leadership, risk taking, and networking.

Staenberg has been active in real estate for 32-plus years, serving as the developer of more than 150 shopping centers in 25 states. Much of his time is invested in organizations such as the Jewish Community Center, St. Louis Zoo Foundation, Jewish Light, Epstein Hebrew Academy, St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Holocaust Museum, and many more.
