ChaiFlicks, the streaming platform dedicated to Jewish entertainment announced its Fall 2022 programming slate, led by three award-winning Israeli TV series making their North American premiere and streaming exclusively on the service.

The three series are:

● Unchained – starring Aviv Alush (The Beauty & The Baker, Valley of Tears, The Women’s Balcony) – streaming 10/12
● Significant Other – starring Assi Cohen and Dana Modan – streaming 11/10

Unchained, led by star actor Aviv Alush (Valley of Tears, The Beauty and the Baker, The Women’s Balcony), follows a rabbi (Alush) who helps women receive a ‘gett’ — divorce by Jewish law — from their uncompromising husbands. The mystery and tension in his life come to an apex as he discovers the relationships within his own family aren’t as ideal as he thought they had been. Significant Other, a sophisticated rom-com set in Tel Aviv, was created by prolific Israeli actors Assi Cohen and Dana Modan, who also play the principal roles in the series. The two lonely neighbors in their late 40’s – a single woman (Modan) and a newly divorced man (Cohen) – find themselves living next door to each other and hesitantly embark on an obstacle-filled relationship which reflects how precarious life can be.

Checkout, Israel’s most popular comedy of recent years, continues on to its third season streaming exclusively on ChaiFlicks. The series follows the hilarious antics of a diverse cast of customers and staff of a struggling Israeli supermarket. Headed by the overly eager general manager, Shira (Noa Koler, “The Wedding Plan”, HBO’s “Our Boys”) and assisted by Ramzi – for whom no job is too small – the store’s staff is always looking to cut corners while eccentric customers look for more than just to complete their weekly shopping.
