Erica Steen is the new director of the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry. She was formerly executive director of the St. Louis nonprofit Give Kids a Smile.

Shana Katz has joined Epstein Hebrew Academy as a kindergarten and pre-school general studies teacher. She attends Young Israel.

Grant Garland, a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, was honored as the Ladue Varsity Soccer Defensive Player of the Year. He is the son of Amy and Burt Garland and attends Temple Israel with his family.

JoAnne Levy, vice president of Mercy Research at Mercy and a St. Louis College of Pharmacy Board of Trustees member, has been recognized as a 2019 Leader of Distinction by YWCA Metro St. Louis. The award recognizes women who embody the spirit and mission of the YWCA, which is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Alvin Wolff’s article, “Forty Lessons Learned from the First Forty Years in Practice,” was published by the Colorado Trial Lawyers. Wolff is a personal injury attorney with Wolff & Wolff Trial Lawyers and attends Congregation B’nai Amoona.
