Providing a hilly, park-like environment for in-ground burials, New Mt. Sinai is the only Jewish cemetery in St. Louis with a Community Mausoleum. Established in 1850 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Throughout the grounds are historic family mausoleums and sarcophagi in the Neo-classical architectural style. Permits non-Jewish burials and cremations. The cemetery is owned by Congregation Shaare Emeth and Temple Israel and serves the entire Jewish community. Open dawn to dusk.
