Kollel event will feature singer Benny Friedman

Singer Benny Friedman will perform at the St. Louis Kollel’s annual Jewish Unity Live event, which will take place Sunday, March 3 at the Haertter Performing Arts Center at John Burroughs School, 9243 Clayton Road.

Friedman was born in Minneapolis into a family of Chabad emissaries and began his musical career at age 13. Passionate about both singing and the ability to inspire people through music, Friedman spent four years working with Hollywood vocal coach Seth Riggs. 

Friedman released his debut album, “Taamu,” in 2009 and performed and he performed all over the country. His second studio album, “Yesh Tikvah” was released and quickly became a top-selling Jewish album. Yesh Tikvah’s music video on YouTube has more than 4 million views. Friedman’s most recent album is his fourth studio album, “Fill The World With Light,” released in December 2016. Friedman lives with his wife and family in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Tickets to Jewish Unity Live are $18, with a family maximum of $100.
