‘Lost Tables’ podcast episode 2: The Greek Gourmet

Welcome to “Lost Tables,” a new podcast that delves into the rich culinary history of St. Louis, brought to you by Dr. Harley Hammerman, the mind behind the popular websites Lost Tables and Lost Dishes.

Hammerman, a radiologist with a deep-rooted passion for St. Louis’ gastronomic past, grew up in University City, where his early dining experiences sparked a lifelong appreciation for both the food and the stories behind the city’s iconic restaurants. His journey began with a vivid memory of family dinners at Golden Fried Chicken Loaf on Delmar, which became the first story featured on his Lost Tables website.

Each episode promises a rich tapestry of voices and anecdotes, with Hammerman’s innovative use of AI technology introducing “Delilah,” the voice of Lost Tables. The opening and closing theme music, composed by Hammerman’s grandson Calvino, adds a personal touch to the production.

Join us each week as we uncover the stories of St. Louis’ lost culinary treasures.
