Ben Nordstrom to headline third annual Cabaret NJT

For the third year running, the New Jewish Theatre will present “Cabaret NJT” an annual fundraiser for the theater at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. In past years, the event has featured several of St. Louis’ well known Cabaret singers, most of whom have appeared on the NJT stage. This year, cabaret NJT will feature only one performer, Ben Nordstrom, accompanied by Neal Richardson.

Nordstrom is a regular and beloved member of the Stages St. Louis ensemble. He just completed a run as J. Peirrepont Finch in its recently closed production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” With regional and Broadway credits to his name, Nordstrom has also won various awards, including two Kevin Kline Awards for Best Actor in a Musical, for work at Stages. Nordstrom will appear on the NJT stage in May as one of the leads in “My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding.”

Nordstrom regularly performs solo cabarets throughout St. Louis, often to benefit various organizations. For Cabaret NJT, he will perform a mix of pieces from Broadway, pop and the Great American Songbook. Tickets to the event are $45 general admission and include a glass of wine and dessert. Premium tickets are $70 each and include dessert, premium seating and a bottle of wine for the table.

Seating is limited. The performance will be in the JCC Performing Arts Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive. Tickets are available through the NJT box office, 314-442-3283 or online at newjewishtheatre.org.
