BBYO to screen ‘Bully’ on April 15
Published April 11, 2012
St. Louis-area Jewish youth and their families are invited to see the documentary “Bully” before its worldwide release during a special screening sponsored by BBYO at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at the Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema.
The full-length documentary depicts “a year in the life” of North America’s bullying crisis.
The screening will be followed by a discussion and anti-bullying training. The cost is $5 for students; $8 for adults. Must register in advance at bbyo.org/bully/stlouis.
“Bully” tells the stories of five brave families that will challenge viewers to move from shock and resignation about bullying to action, transforming schools and communities into places where empathy and respect are valued and bullying is unacceptable.
BBYO is also collecting signatures from teens and their families as a part of BBYO’s Stand UP for Each Other Campaign for Respect and Inclusion, a grassroots effort focused on creating safe and welcome communities for all Jewish teens.
